How to Dye ACU Gear

ACU is dirty cheap right now for very good surplus gear. The problem it looks ugly and isn't effective. Solution Rit dye.

You will need 

Bucket

2-3 gallons of boiling water

RIT dye

Salt

Vinegar

Stick

I like to use 1/2  apple green, 1/2 peacock green and  3 cap fulls of graphite black.

Dump the salt and vinegar into boiling water and Dye mixture. Than insert gear of choice and mix and submerge for 15-20 mins, 

Rinse of Dye , let air dry. The piece will be significantly lighter colored when dry so if it looks to dark let it dry. If it drys to light add more black or graphite to the next mix.
