The Cold War legend

Build a classic LC-2 ALICE web gear set with the belt size and extras you need. This used military-surplus set combines an adjustable equipment belt, padded Y-style suspenders and practical belt-mounted pouches. Choose a Medium or Large belt, then select optional field equipment and an Italian woodland uniform set.

What the base web gear set includes

  • 1 LC-2 equipment belt in your selected size: Medium or Large.
  • 1 padded, adjustable Y-style suspender assembly.
  • 2 ALICE-style M16 magazine pouches.
  • 1 first-aid/compass pouch, supplied empty.
  • 1 one-quart canteen cover, supplied without a bottle or cup unless selected.

The base set is $49.99. It contains six pieces, counting the suspender assembly as one piece. The first-aid/compass pouch is shown mounted on a shoulder strap.

Choose your equipment package

Equipment selection Added to base Set price without uniform
Base web gear Included $49.99
Canteen + cup $15.00 $64.99
Ames shovel + carrier $28.00 $77.99
Shovel + carrier + canteen + cup $43.00 $92.99

The Ames option includes the actual folding shovel and its green carrier. The canteen-and-cup option adds one plastic military canteen and one issued USGI stainless steel nesting cup. The canteen cover is already included in every base set.

Optional Italian woodland uniform

Add the Italian three-piece woodland combat uniform in XL Long for $35.00. The set includes an issued shirt, trousers and matching cap. XL Long is the size currently offered for this add-on; confirm garment measurements when checking fit.

Belt size and uniform size are independent. Choosing a Medium or Large belt does not change the uniform's listed size.

Belt sizing and adjustment

Select Medium or Large using the belt-size selector. These are military equipment-belt sizes, not a guarantee of a particular trouser size or an unlimited adjustment range. Allow for the clothing you intend to wear under the belt. The suspenders adjust separately to position the belt and distribute the load.

Condition and appearance

Used military surplus with visible fading, discoloration, scuffs and wear to the webbing and pouch edges. This is an assembled set: olive shades, fabric patterns, markings, manufacturers and production dates can vary. The supplied photographs show mixed olive tones and some woodland-pattern fabric on a magazine pouch. The components are not represented as a factory-matched set.

Some photographs show the base gear alongside optional equipment. Your selected options determine what is included. Magazines, ammunition, medical contents and other unlisted items are not included.

Frequently asked questions

Does every set include the canteen and cup?

Every base set includes the canteen cover. Select the canteen-and-cup package to add the bottle and cup.

Is the Ames shovel included, or just the carrier?

Select the Ames shovel package to receive both the folding shovel and its carrier. Neither is included with the base web gear alone.

Can I add both equipment packages?

Yes. Choose the combined package to receive the Ames shovel, carrier, canteen and cup with your web gear.

Is the Italian uniform a U.S. woodland BDU?

No. It is an Italian woodland uniform offered as an optional addition. The U.S. web gear and Italian uniform are separate surplus items, suitable for a practical mixed kit; they are not sold as a single historically matched U.S. issue set.

Does the assembled kit have one NSN?

No single NSN is assigned to this assembled retail kit. Individual components can carry their own military stock numbers and production markings. The optional Ames shovel is listed in our catalog under NSN 5120-00-878-5932.
